Lightweight JavaScript Framework By Twitter: Flight

Posted on January 31, 2013

Twitter Bootstrap got huge appreciation from open source community. Now Twitter has open sourced its Javascript framework named Flight.

Flight is a lightweight javascript framework built on the top of ES5-shim and jQuery. It uses ES5-shim to pollyfill ES5 support for older browsers and JQuery for DOM manipulation API. It is a component-based event driven JavaScript framework and components are highly portable and easily testable. The components do not interact each other directly. They broadcast their actions as events which are subscribed to by other components. Twitter uses Flight for their web applications.

It contains a gmail like demo application built with Flight Framework. you can view the demo of the email app here. http://twitter.github.com/flight/demo.
Flight is competible with all major browsers such Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE7 and above.
